Gisele, our tour guide was amazing! Kept the conversations going, gave great stories about the area as well as her own experiences. Renee (Laura Plantation), for being a young lady she knew a mountain of information. She was articulate, friendly, and a great tour guide. The Houmas House lunch was so good!!! Staff is so friendly and felt like I was a part of the family. The Home tour had so much to offer with history as well as a nice part regarding an honorable man who freed his slaves. The Ragin Cajun group gave us a great time on the airboat ride. We saw tons of gators and the boat capt made sure we not only got the fast ride, but also the leisure bit to not miss out on the wildlife.
Llooking for something terrific? This is even better.

This tour consisted of three parts; an airboat tour of the swamp in the morning, a visit to Laura plantation in the early afternoon, and visit to Houmas House in the mid-afternoon. The airboat tour was a blast and Rodney, our captain, was informative and funny. We learned a lot about the ecology of the swamp and the different plants and animals, especially the alligators, who came right up to the side of the boat. Touring Laura plantation gave us a very real look back at the wealth and brutality of life on a sugarcane plantation. Our guide, Logan, really helped to drive the experience home. At our final stop, Houmas House, we had a wonderful buffet lunch. We explored the grounds which included an oriental garden, the alley of oaks, and even a walk to the top of a levee with a view of the Mississippi. During the entire trip, our tour guide Giselle was fun, welcoming and engaging. She tied everything together with a beautiful bow. I really can't say enough good things about this experience. It exceeded our expectations and I would recommend it one hundred percent.

Time well spent

I had a bayou and plantation tour package, and it was awesome! The tour was well-organized and engrossing - be prepared to soak all of these interesting facts about all kinds of things from swamp wildlife habitat to some obscure facts about slavery in Louisiana in comparison with other Southern states. Our tour guide (and driver as well), Ellen, was super knowledgeable and give us a local's perspective on Mardi Gras, French Quarter, what kind of places are worth visiting, and why... I like it! Also, can't help but mention Kyle, the guide on Laura's plantation tour, and Auguste, the Houmas' house guide. Both were very thorough and detailed, and I was surprised by the depth of the research they had to make in order to prepare their tours. It seems like Kyle knows everything about the family that owned the Laura plantation and he's really digging into it, whereas Auguste amazed me by how he's own family story interwoven with the story of Houmas house and its residents; also, he was extremely funny yet refined, so to say. Did I mention the tasty lunch they provide you with at Houma's house? It has many varieties of NOLA's signature cuisine, and It's a great alternative to the spendier places in the city if you want to try some of the local food. Long story short - this tour was definitely worth spending money and time, and one certainly won't be disappointed taking it.
Highly recommend

Steve was our guide for the day. He was great! He worked to keep us all comfortable on an extremely hot day. He called everyone by name throughout the day which was impressive to me. The swamp and plantation tours were a lot of fun and the lunch was great!
I Must

Had a ball if your visiting and haven’t done this….. it’s a must. The food was top of the line too. If anything had to be addressed would be the mic that the Chauffeur used at time I couldn’t hear him but that’s the only negative thing I have to say.

Thank you so much for this great comment, Mr Prince, we are so happy you enjoyed our Grand tour and especially our awesome Lousiana Cuisine! I have personnally gone to that tour van and checked the PA , the headset mic has been replaced with a new one, we appreciate you taking the time to alert us about that! We definitely want our guests to hear all of our commentary! Please visit us again very soon! Isabelle C.
Amazing! Don’t miss it!

An absolutely fantastic tour. Probably one of the best tours we have ever taken. The attention to detail, punctuality, choice of locations and well appointed van were all perfect. Rene is a gem! His knowledge and positive enthusiasm is contagious. We have been on many airboat rides and we have never seen so many alligators all at once. The plantation homes were also beautifully chosen for their Louisiana historical account. I would highly recommend Isabelle and her your company for this tour or any others that she does!

LOVED the airboat ride! I thought we would see a few alligators swimming far away, but we saw a LOT of alligators very close up! It was so neat!! Also, the lunch provided was actually REALLY good!!

The tour had so much information. The swamp tour was amazing but scary when the alligators would try and jump on the boat. The plantation tour of Laura plantation was good and gave the slave side and owners. Bring clothes and shoes you don't mind getting wet because the weather is unpredictable. The buffet was decent to say the least.

All of the information I have received. The homes were beautiful . The swamp was an education to me .
