Toast did a wonderful job! He was very knowledgeable and funny! We learned a lot about New Orleans and saw many sights along the way. We could tell Toast was very proud of his city and he represented it well.

Be careful on this tour!

I was taking my daughter and her friends on a senior trip and they wanted to go on the tour. I made sure it was still light out for safety and booked it. The tour guide did a good job telling the stories but he was drinking the entire time. The tour took a break at a haunted bar and we were told a hurricane there was excellent. I bought one drink and it tasted odd. Five to ten minutes later I could barely walk or talk. I did not really hear the rest of the tour. Later, a doctor agreed I had been roofied. We were dropped off at a place different from where we started. As I had been roofied, I was unable to get us back to the hotel. Luckily I had mature, smart teenage girls with me who did not panic and were able to get us back. It was extremely disturbing. The girls told me the tour guide told them not to tell me his name. Be careful in NOLA if you travel and do not do this tour as a solo adult. I noticed prior to getting drugged a man following the tour. He was never near my drink. But multiple people can be involved. I never saw anyone but the bartender near my drink. Overall, I give it a 1 but my teens enjoyed it, so I gave it a 2.

Lots of history

The tour guide Charmaine was very informative and friendly. We would have enjoyed this more , however there was a drunk young man who kept interrupting the guide which made it difficult to follow the stories. She did her best to continue on even with his interruptions

We lucked out and got Claire! She’s the best! Super friendly, knowledgeable, beautiful, and a great story teller. I’m sure all of the guides and tours are great but hope you luck out also and get to be a part of Claire’s group.

Interesting outing for an adult audience

Like most haunted tours in New Orleans, these tours are really not about “touring” or seeing a lot, but rather are all about the stories the guide tells. I enjoyed the guide, who was knowledgeable and a good speaker who told interesting stories. They had a deal with a nearby bar, so we were able to get 2-for-1 Hurricanes (alcoholic beverages) and bring them with us on the tour. The tour starts at a cool voodoo shop, so you can do a little souvenir shopping if you show up early. The tour is about two hours and completely standing/walking, so I wouldn’t recommend this for folks who aren’t capable of standing that long. The tour guide (like many N.O. tour guides) does use some curse words, so just take that in mind when booking for kids. The scary stories are very dark in nature, which is fun but may not be suitable for younger audiences...but I guess that’s obvious.

Dauphine house, the guide knew so much about the history! It was quite intriguing, and had us purchase the book about it!
