We were on the fence about doing this tour since we had limited time in New Orleans but ended up booking it the day before. I am SO HAPPY we did. It was one of my favorite experiences of the trip. So amazing seeing alligators in their natural habitat. And who knew they love marshmallows so much?! The gators must recognize the boats by this point and know they’ll get treats if they swim over so don’t be alarmed when you start to see gators swimming towards you excitedly! I would wait to book until you’re sure the weather is going to be good. We had a gorgeous day but I can imagine it wouldn’t be so fun if it were cold and/or rainy. You are covered in shade in the boat so not such a worry for sun. We had a big slower moving boat, not the air boat, and honestly I am so happy we did. We were able to get up and walk around to get better views of the alligators if they weren’t in view of our seat. And my favorite part… a baby alligator! We got to hold a baby that the tour guide had! She was a rescue from Hurricane Ida. I absolutely loved it. She was so calm & cute. I’m unsure if that’s included in every experience as it wasn’t included in the description. I was so pleasantly surprised! The experience would have been 5 stars even without the baby. We saw so many alligators and learned a lot about the swamps from the guide. Amazing experience definitely do it if you catch some great weather!

It was my first boat ride and the driver made me feel safe and he was very informative about the history. I also enjoyed seeing the alligators and watching him feed them.

Alligator on boat was fun. Tour guide was good but should have played either Zydeco or Dixieland music, not 50’s!

Our captain was awesome and made the trip very memorable. It was a little cool for the gators to be really active but the captain did a good job of putting us in position to see a large number. Not much other wildlife because of the element s but still a great little trip.

I loved the experience, everyone very polite and amicable. Our tour guy was funny and entertaining. There was a little bit of a wait... However it was worth it. Once you get off the bus, there's a shop with restrooms. Also plenty of sitting by the water. I'm doing this again when back in NOLA.
