At the park, meet and greet an experienced animal keeper, who will detail what it’s like to work in a wetlands wildlife preserve, with 100,000 acres of natural Florida Everglades and 15 acres of wildlife park. Learn what the animals’ lives are like, their habits, what and how to feed them and much more. It’s a rare, inside look that few people get to see.

Want to feed an alligator? That’s on this tour, along with a great photo opportunity! Prepare for a safe alligator demonstration with the expert staff closely supervising.

This tour is a great opportunity for small groups and families to learn about the wide variety of animals here and their unique environments.
Itinerary
Stop At:
Wild Florida Airboats
Your behind-the-scenes experience begins with an introduction to the animal keeper at the wildlife park. This tour is a great chance for small groups and families to learn about animals and their environments. The keeper, who serves as your expert guide, will give you the inside scoop on a side of running a wildlife park that few people get to see, and about personal experiences with animals. Listen as your guide teaches you about native Florida species and exotic birds and about the surrounding Central Florida Everglades. Follow your guide to the part of the 15-acre wildlife park where the barnyard animals live, and learn about their habits and habitat. From there you’ll skip over to the alligator section, where brave souls will be able to feed a live gator. Under the safe guidance of the animal keeper, of course! Consider it a thrilling meet and greet. You’ll even have time to snap a photo to prove that you did it.

Our 8yr old grandson especially enjoyed the Behind the Scenes Tour where he was able to be in the cage with the sloth. The Crusher Gator show and the petting zoo were also favorites!

Behind the Scenes Tour with Lydia

We love Wild Florida! Especially our tour with Lydia. She is so knowledgeable and kind. We were there this past Saturday with our 6 year old grandson. He had millions of questions and would often interrupt Lydia while she was talking and she never lost her patience. He was just so excited about seeing all the animals, even with reminders to not speak when others are speaking, he could not contain himself. He loved the playground, the alligator show, but most especially he loved seeing the snakes. The King Cobra was his favorite and talked about it all the way home!
