A must do tour for new travelers to Panamá

My mom (60 y.o) and I (32 y.o) went on this tour day one in Panama. We originally booked another tour for the same thing but that tour ended up changing our reservation w due to a driver error. We had to cancel that one and made this reservation, same day, 2-hrs prior, while still in our PJs for 11am. In a private tour, the guide will either make your experience positive or negative. We were fortunate our guide, Ruben, made it positive. He was very professional, personal, and knowledgeable of just about everything! We toured several churches, monuments, and historic landmarks in Casco Viejo, traveled to Flamenco Island to see the causeway and eat lunch (Bucaneros estaba fantástico!) and then went to the canal and saw a ship pass through. The timing of the tour was perfect so we weren’t rushed at any of our stops nor was it dragging. We would highly recommend Ruben and this tour.

We did the private tour with Carlos and learned so much. From the historical sites to the Panama Canal. It was such a great treat to actually see the boat come into the locks and go through the entire process.
Carlos was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.
It was really great that he was able to switch things around due to the rain.

Roger was a great tour guide. He arrived early to pick us up. Took us to three locations. He explained the history and significance of sights along the way and was very knowledgable. He took pictures for our group as well and gave us good recommendations for things to do and eat in the city

Roger did an excellent job. He picked us up from the hotel on time and gave USA great tour of the canal and landmarks while driving to different locations. When we walked in the old town, he gave an extensive and thorough history of how the City was built. Well worth the experience. Would recommend to everyone.

We got a private tour with Dennis, so we customized our experience based on Dennis' recommendations. He went out of his way to make it as enjoyable as possible. Highly recommend!! A great thing to do on your first day in Panama City to see what the city has to offer. Our favorites: Panama Canal, Amador Causeway, Casco Viejo.

We were a family of eight comprising four generations, ages 13 to 92. The private tour was conducted by Dennis with Joao driving. Highlights of the tour were canal, the causeway, many historical sites, and old town, Panama City. Dennis did a fabulous job of relating the history and involving all of us in understanding how the canal was built and currently being run. We ran into traffic challenges but that didn’t faze our driver, Joao, as he maneuvered in and out to continue the tour. It is to the credit of this tour that we have a very good understanding of the canal and Panama’s culture. Dennis was very patient with us and our group experienced not only the local historical perspectives but also got to shop a bit and take some fantastic pictures! We highly recommend this quality tour.

We had such an amazing time. Our tour guide, Roberto was the BEST. He was full of so much knowledge about the past, present and future of Panama. When he picked us up, he let us decide what we wanted to see and do. He took to a delicious spot for lunch, Sabroso- I highly recommend it. The food was authentic and the view was great!
