Engaging tour with very knowledgeable guide Rosanna
, Jul 2021
Rosanna vividly explained us the story of how Pompeii was formed and under which influences the city was created- first the Etruscan, then the Greek and even the Roman Empire greatly influenced the life in Pompei. This, as Rosanna explained, still influences our everyday life. Thanks to the private tour, Pompeii became more than just stone ruins and I really started to get an idea of how it could have been like living in the city’s full bloom. I suggest this tour for everyone that wants a short and intense insight into Pompeii’s most interesting facets. Thank you Rosanna for making this possible

Our guide, Antonio, made us forget the hot sun for the duration of our tour. He was both entertaining and informative, making it easy to imagine life in an ancient world.

Bucket List!

We loved it. The tour was small and intimate. Our guide was very knowledgeable, gave us enough information but didn't overload us, he didn't rush us and answered our questions... plus was sensitive to our comfort such as stopping in the shade, making sure we had water stops, and helping us with recommendations for great places to eat after. Highly recommend doing this tour!

Paolo was an amazing guide for our tour of Pompeii. We took the wrong train from Naples and our phones did not work so we could not reach anyone to let them know we would be late. We were so worried, but Paolo was at the entrance waiting for us when we finally arrived. He helped us store our luggage before beginning the tour. His knowledge of the ruins was incredible. We enjoyed listening to all of the very interesting information he told us. Paolo was really nice, very friendly and fun. We highly recommend hiring him if you are planning on seeing the Pompeii ruins.

Amazing experience

Our tour guide, Michele, was great and very knowledgeable about Pompeii. He was very blunt about what areas were originally from Pompeii and what wasn’t. Highly recommend getting a guide so you can ask questions.

My friends and I would high recommend this tour. Our archaeologist guide made the ruins of Pompeii come alive. In a 2 hour walk from the Porta Marina to the two amphitheaters, he pointed out chariot wheel ruts in the streets, showed us how to distinguish between the entrance to a shop and a residence, explained why there were side walks and stepping stones in the streets, painted a vivid picture of the buildings and life in the Forum, ushered us into the famous brothel ahead of the crowds and too many other fascinating tidbits to list here. Don't miss this experience.

Chiana was our guide and she was amazing. I purposely booked a small group because I don't hear well so I was delighted to find that our 'group' consisted of my brother and I. She was so knowledgeable and informative and we were able to weave through the groups of 20 or more with ease, especially the main gate! There were a lot of people waiting to get in at 8:30 and I was wondering how I could find the guide but at 9:00 she held a sign up and we just walked on through. She didn't rush us through and after it was over we walked about on our own.
