If you’ve upgraded your full-day tour to include a Douro River cruise, hop aboard a rabelo boat—a traditional cargo boat native to this region—for a leisurely ride. Meander up the Tua River tributary and pass by Quinta da Romaneira before returning back to Pinhão.

Either before or after your cruise (if you've upgraded), pop into one of the wineries on the agenda for the day before lunch.

After a traditional lunch of typical Douro cuisine accompanied by wine at a renowned restaurant, your guide takes your small group to another family-run estate where you discover local winemaking and enjoy a tasting session of award-winning ports and wines.

Stop by the shop to make any purchases before departing the Douro Valley for the relaxing return drive to Porto, arriving at your hotel in the evening.

The title basically says it all. Our tourguide was very nice and knowladgeable about the area. She even brought us to a family restaurant where only locals came (would recommend). The wines and port were excellent and the locations beautiful. If you want to see the duoro valley, learn about wine and port making and taste some really good ones. You should take this tour.

I had an unforgettable experience with an awesome human being named Pedro or Pepe. He was very knowledgeable on everything, and you can tell he is passionate about his country and this is more than just a job for him. He is very well connected and knew so many locals along the way and very loved by his community. I felt like I was with family. The Douro valley is beautiful and one of the most beautiful and majestic landscapes I’ve ever laid eyes on. Please do yourself and do this tour. It will leave you with a lot of saudade.

This was an outstanding tour! Pedro R. was our guide and very professional & personable. He was punctual and a fantastic guide. He is knowledgeable not just about different parts of Portugal but well travelled and very passionate about his job. If you are looking for a guide he’s the one for your job. He also does tours outside of Douro which you can ask him about. I’ll definitely book again with this company in the future.

Amazing wine experience

Absolutely amazing experience. Exceeded expectations. Our tour guide Isa was wonderful, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The second winery visit of the day was actually to do a port tasting and since our entire group didn’t like port she facilitated a second tasting afterwards for their wines. She also jumped out to get us fresh bread at one point from a local bread bakery. Would highly recommend this tour and specifically this guide!

They called the day before to confirm pick-up location. Out amazing guide, Violetta, was at the location early so she waited while we finished buying and drinking out morning coffee. We chatted and she was immediayely able to establish a relation with us. Our guide was both informative and fun. The drive was scenic - have your camera ready. Due to the time of year, we were often early so she filled time with quick stops at scenic viewpoints. Each vineyard was a different experience. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The heat can be a bit much. You have been warned.
