Tour concludes in city center

Choose a morning or afternoon start time when you book. Then, begin your private walking tour with a pickup from your Prague hotel or at a central meeting point.

Venture away from the main tourist trail to discover the city’s hidden side of labyrinthine passageways, tucked-away gardens, and buzzing local districts that many visitors fail to discover.

En route, your guide shares insider facts and stories about everyday life in the city, together with revealing historical insights. Hear how, having been built before the advent of urban planning, Prague grew into webs of cobbled lanes that radiated out from churches and other monuments.

It was only later that city planners added impressive squares and architectural showpieces, leaving lots of little nooks and crannies around Prague Old Town that cry out to be explored.

Follow the passageways that surround the Old Town Square and snake their way to Wenceslas Square and Republic Square. Pass timeworn houses and quiet courtyards, and as you walk, learn the stories of the passing sights, and how these medieval routes are usually only used by locals and never appear on tourist maps.

Make regular stops for photos and feel free to ask your guide to see more or less of any sights along the way. Your tour is private, so the itinerary can be tailored around you.

Your tour concludes near Old Town Square.

Prague Beyond the Tourist
Stanley W

An opportunity to see sections of old town Prague which are not on the normal tourist schedule. Our guide Jana was very knowledgeable and walked us through passageways which are more for locals than tourists. An opportunity to see some artistic work, restaurants out of the way of normal tourist traffic and to learn about the history of the passageways. Since this was her first evening tour, we stopped in a local restaurant/drinking establishment that was more for locals than tourist and had a wonderful Czech beer. A cool tour.

We were shown a number of locations in the Old Town of Prague that tourists don't frequent. John gave us a good overview of early history as well as 20th century changes that have occurred in Prague. Sometimes during a 3 hour tour too much information can be hard to absorb. John was very enthusiastic and we enjoyed the tour.

Fascinating off-the-beaten path sights in Prague

This half-day walking tour was by far the most interesting activity in Prague. Having seen the major tourist attractions on a prior visit to the city, we signed up for this opportunity to visit some of the less well-known sights. Our guide, Martina, was very knowledgeable and friendly and spoke excellent English. We walked through the Old Town and the New Town over about 3 hours and saw fascinating corners of the city, such as the upside-down statue of King Wenceslas in the Lucerna passage and the statue of Franz Kafka which literally undergoes a

Martina was a fabulous guide. She knew a lot of interesting things about Prague that we had not already read in travel books. The walking tour was definitely a highlight of our visit. I am very pleased with our experience.
