Pula walking tour

We had the most pleasant time with our tour guide Sini. He was very friendly and was very keen to answer all our questions. The tour was most impressive. We have learnt many aspects of Pula‘s rich history and seen many facets of this beautiful city.

When you arrive in Pula, you might ask yourself if you’re in Rome or Croatia. This tour is an incredibly opportunity to better understand the Roman influence over the city, especially in an area that is rich with Venetian history. The tour starts with a walk up to the fortress to better understand Pula’s position contributed to the city that you can see today. You'll wander through the ancient Roman city - seeing both Byzantine and Roman artifacts. The mosaics, which are not highlighted in the guidebooks, are truly incredible to see. From there, you'll head to the “new” Pula, see the Austro-Hungarian influences, and stroll through the bustling market. This tour makes an easy loop through Pula. Our guide was incredibly knowledgable, happy to answer questions, and quick to make recommendations.

Such a great tour guide! Extremely thorough and captivating storytelling. A kind gentleman who answered all questions we had--clearly he knows his Pula history!! Our tour was very comprehensive, and even as frequent Pula visitors, we learned many new things we never knew about before. Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!!! :)

Sini was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. The sights and length of this tour are perfect for a general overview of Pula and its history. We really enjoyed our tour with him.

The guide waited more than 30 minutes, as we were late arriving. He was very knowledgeable and well versed in the tour script. Overall the tour was excellent and what I was expecting. Although it was only the tour guide and I, the tour lasted about an hour. Maybe if there were more individuals in the group, with more questions, varied walking pace, perhaps it would have lasted 2-hours listed. Otherwise, its a 1-hour tour tops and doesn't include entrance to the arena. I'd recommend it to friends.
