Tattinger and Moët tours

Our guide Radames was excellent and the tours of Tattinger and Moët & Chandon could not have been better. The small group aspect allowed us to give input and stop to spend some time around the grapevines. Not to be missed!

Exceeded Expectations!

We booked this trip as a last minute decision and didn't really know what to expectm, but we were very happy with everything. Our guide Christoph was very friendly and accomodating, and extremely knowledgable about the area and the Champagne industry. Our train ride to/from Paris to Reims was very easy, as we always find European train travel to be. We were picked up in a large van and taken throught town, and a tour of the local Notre Dame cathedral, which is just beautiful. The tour of Tattinger was probably my favorite part, through the chalk caves and a very interesting description of the process of champagne. The tasting included was basic, but we were able to pay to upgrade to other higher-priced tastings, all very reasonable. Our tour of 8 was added to a larger group, but all very manageable. We drove to Epernay, with a stop at the tomb of Dom Perignon, which was wonderful, and we were able to stop for some very beatiful photos with views of the vineyards. In Epernay we were on our own for lunch or an hour and there are lots of options that are good. We went on to the Avenue of Champagne and stopped at Moet and Chandon for our last tour. It was beautiful and well done, although less personal than the Tattinger in my opinion. It would have been great if we had had some time to walk through Epernay and the other champagne houses, which were beautiful. That would be my only real critque of the day. It might also be nice to visit some smaller family chateaus instead of the very large ones like Tattinger and Moet. But overall, we were extremely happy with the tour. Great value for the price.

Not as advertised

Horrible customer service, rude tour guide, false advertising of stops and a waste of time. My family and I were a party of 6 traveling for my birthday to France. This service was recommended to me while I was searching for things to do on Trip Advisor and I thought that it was expensive, almost a $100 for children who won't be able to partake in drinking champagne, yet sounded like a fun. Even though the tour only consisted of an additional 2 people to our 6, our tour guide left us at the train station and wasted an hour of our time. The guide, named Dorthy, was rude to my family throughout the tour and then did not take to the promised church stop due to her poor planning. The only redeeming aspect of this day trip with this company was the actual champagne tours that we could have payed for on our own. The manager never returned my phone calls when we complained and another employee at this company told me that I was a liar. Horrible customer service, rude tour guide , false advertising and a waste of time.

Dear Stacey, My name is Laure, I am the manager of the company. I was out the office when you had the tour with the charming Dorothée. Returning to the office, you had been the first person that I heard about. I took your comment into account. I am very happy to be able to give our version. First of all you were late for the pick up in the morning. The pick up is at 09.30AM and you arrived at least 15 minutes later. Dorothée left the train station to drive the 2 other people. They did not have to suffer to your impolite lateness. Usually I ask to my team to explain to the clients how they can a taxi to join the group. Exceptionally, Dorothée decided to go back to the train station to pick you up. Arriving at the train station, you threatened her with bad reviews and to deal with her case. Not very fair-play... and during all the day, Dorothée, who is a really nice person, tried to communicate with you and the only thing that she had in return was your antipathy. You cannot see Reims cathedral as the group saw it in the morning when you were not here. I am sorry for you that you did not enjoy the day with us because as you see, our clients are happy clients. We always do our job with love. I heard about you from our guides in Champagne and from our team at the office. All the feedback was bad. I am sorry for you because you have to be very sad to be so unfriendly. Best regards, Laure

A Noteworthy Toast to Champagne

Our tour guide, Christophe, was very knowledgeable to the area, champagne, and history. The small group tour is recommended as it was easy for use to all tour the various champagne houses together. Both champagne tours and tasting gave us a better understanding of how champagne is made from start to finish. Depending on time of year you tour be prepared to get a little colder down in the caves below as you tour. Being summer when we toured, it actually was a nice cool-off, and you don't spend too much time standing around in the caves. Our guided recommended several places to grab a bite for lunch, which was about an hour, before heading to our next tasting. Take advantage of the local restaurants, shops, and parks in the area while at lunch. Have your cameras ready at all times as there's so much to see. Enjoy your tour in Champagne. Cheers.

Small-Group Day Tour of MoÎt et Chandon and Taittinger with Champagne Tasting from Reims

I love to buy all my tours with you guys, but this tour I don't recommend it at all. They took us to Taittinger and gave us only one tasting we everybody else in another groups tasted 3 different champagne after that they told us that there was no space for the tasting at the Moet et Chandon but they were going to take us to another place at the same level that Moet Chandon, but they took us to Champagne the Castellane there were no comparison between both places, plus the lady in the tour didn't know what was she talking about. Melody the tour guide was a very nice and sweet person; she stopped for 15 to Moet Chandon because I wanted to buy souvenirs.

Dear Marie, My name is Laure. I am the manager of the company. I took your email into account and I am sorry that you did not enjoy that tour. I do not know via which way you booked your tour but please take note that we proposed to buy extra tastings on our website when you book the tour. Concerning Moet and Chandon, my team informed several days before that they cannot welcome the group. I am sorry that you did not enjoy the time at de Castellane which is also a great Champagne House. Thank you for your feedback concerning Mélanie. She is a very nice woman indeed. I wish you a very nice day! Best regards, Laure

Lovely tour

Christophe was a great guide. Gave us a quick tour of Reims city, some major champagne house locations and then on to the Tattinget house and chalk caves. After lunch on our own in Epernay we visited Moet and Chandon. Elegant champagne tasting. Only negative is lots of time spent in the van and traffic coming back into Reims but so much more fun than driving on your own.
