Your 3-hour Golden Gate Bridge bike tour starts at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, where you’ll meet your guide. Then take off along a mostly flat route that follows the waterfront of San Francisco Bay.

Pedal past sights like Aquatic Park Cove, part of San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park, and enjoy views of Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. Then continue past Fort Mason Center, a National Historic Landmark; Marina Green, where beautiful homes face the water; the Palace of Fine Arts, built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition; and Crissy Field, part of Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

When you arrive at Fort Point, at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge, take advantage of a great photo op of the iconic red towers before crossing the bridge’s 1.7-mile (2.7-km) span, which ends at Vista Point, another panoramic viewpoint for photos of the bay and city skyline. Complete the last stretch of your bike tour into Sausalito, a small, upscale town known for its picturesque waterfront scenery.

From Sausalito, you will be on your own to continue exploring however you wish. Continue biking around the area, using your provided map to perhaps conquer the hills of the Marin Headlands or see more of San Francisco, such as the Presidio or Ocean Beach; refuel with food and drinks at one of Sausalito’s many restaurants (own expense); and return to the city at your leisure, either by biking back across the bridge or taking the ferry from Sausalito with your bike (ferry tickets are at your own expense).

The trip was good and it hit a lot of great tourist attractions which is a plus. The price was good and I love the electric bike because it helped with getting up steep hills. Also the tour guide was great and very energetic. The only downside was the history lesson regarding how Europeans discovered America (already discovered) and how the Indians were totally disregarded. However, I know that real history can be to much for people, so the tour guide did the right thing.

We took a 3 hour standard bike tour along the coast, stopping a number of vistas including the place of fine arts, Chrissy fields, and the Golden Gate Bridge! Our tour guide was Adam Ringel who was EXCELLENT! He really knows his history and made the tour very enjoyable. There were only 2 hills that were a bit difficult to ride up on the standard bike (we are from a very flat Indiana), but I would do it again. If doing the other tour seeing many neighborhoods of San Fran, I absolutely would have upgraded to the EBike. Our tour ended in beautiful Sausalito and Adam gave excellent restaurant recommendations (we ate at the Trident). ***IF YOU TAKE AN AFTERNOON TOUR, DO NOT MISS THE FERRY BACK TO FISHERMANS WHARF. We did this tour on a Friday 1-4pm. The last ferry left Sausalito at 5pm, giving us barely enough time to have a meal there. If you don’t catch the ferry back, you will have to ride back yourself, unguided. Also note that the ferry reportedly does not allow Ebikes on board, only standard bikes. There is a fee you can pay (approx $15) to leave a bike in Sausalito if you don’t want to take it on the ferry. The ferry was awesome and drove right past Alcatraz providing excellent views for photo ops. Upon returning to Fishermans wharf, we had another 1-2 hours with the bikes before returning them to the shop! Would absolutely recommend this tour, especially with Adam!

Tour guide was nice and informed. One of our three bikes was rather old and uncomfortable. The ride was pleasant. We did not expect to be charged a fee to drop off the bikes in Sausalito if we didn’t purchase a ferry ticket back to the bike drop off.

Amazing! Tour Guide, Kevin, was wonderful! He was very informative and kept us very safe while biking! Stops along the tour were highlighted places a tourist would want to see. Due to the corona virus, we had a “private tour”. Just the two of us and our tour guide. Our tour guide was not even from the states and he knew so much! We ended the tour knowing a great amount more than what we did going into it. The bike ride was beautiful, and the tour guide was willing to help out in any way that he could. He even took our pictures. Definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed trip. You need to be reasonably fit. Arrived in Sausalito but bit disappointing as electric had been off for 4 days due to the fires. All shops, bars banks closed as no credit card machines or atm’s. couldn’t even get a ticket for ferry hence when we landed everyone had to queue at ticket machine so took about an hr to get out. Although nobody’s fault, we should have been warned of the power outage and given the chance to cancel .
