You may think you don’t have time for a Yosemite trip during your stay in San Francisco, but this full-day tour by luxury biodiesel van provides a stress-free way to do so. Your day trip starts with early morning hotel pickup for the drive across the Bay Bridge toward California’s Central Valley, one of the country’s largest farming regions.

During the drive, stop briefly to purchase some local nuts or fruit, lunch, or any other necessities (own expense). Continue the drive past horse and cattle ranches as you make your way into the foothills of the Sierras and Gold County, where ambitious pioneers panned for gold during the 1849 Gold Rush.

When you arrive at Yosemite National Park, start your visit with a driving tour of the park’s main natural attraction, Yosemite Valley. Stop often for photo ops of this glacial valley known for its rock formations and waterfalls, and enjoy access to some areas that big-bus tours can’t reach. See Half Dome, Yosemite’s most iconic feature, and observe daring rock climbers ascend the 3,000-foot (914-meter) sheer granite face of El Capitan. Visit Bridalveil Falls, check out the Tunnel View overlook for an expansive view of the Yosemite Valley, and head to Yosemite Falls, North America’s tallest waterfall.

You have time to buy lunch here at one of the various eatery options, and then enjoy free time to experience the park however you wish. Perhaps go for a hike, or rent a bike to cover more ground. If you’re not feeling active, make your way to the visitor’s center for informational exhibits, head to the Ansel Adams Gallery to see works by the legendary photographer, or visit the Ahwahnee Hotel for some Yosemite history.

In the late afternoon, meet back up with your group for the return drive to San Francisco, which includes one short rest stop. Arrive in the city in the evening, enjoying a twinkling view of the downtown skyline and the bay before hotel drop-off.

Well, I am more an individual hiker and knew before this is going to be very touristy. But I wanted to have a look at the Yosemite and took it as a compromise. Our guide/ driver Brian was very sweet and caring ( I felt very sorry for him seeing that several people went out without giving the tip). To see the legend El Capitano was nice for sure but for me personally it was way to crowdy. It was still nice to do that trip. Thanks to Brian and the company. 🧡

8 hours in a passenger van was too long. Vehicle had poor shocks and poor AC. We enjoyed our time at Yosemite but would not recommend this option for seeing the park. Only one staff was sent with the group and she did the driving and tour talk. Stopping at a grocery store twice was a good way to save time but the food options weren’t great.

This was a great tour - well worth doing and one of the easier ways to get to Yosemite if travelling solo. Saw the main attractions (excluding the sequoia trees unfortunately) and our guide Parker was lovely and had lots of local knowledge. There is opportunity for a great 3hr hike that gives you a lovely view of the tallest waterfall in USA. It was a really magical moment! If you’re going for sequoias this trip is not the right one - there is some confusing comments and descriptions around that make it misleading but I don’t think that’s necessarily the tour companies fault. Loved it!

Our tour guide driver Britney was an outstanding tour guide. She had so much knowledge about Yosemite and San Francisco. She was like a storyteller that kept out attention through the whole trip. We were very at ease with her driving around those curves. She kept account of all of her passengers and I felt very comfortable. I would recommend this tour and it was worth the money.

Phil our guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and couldn't do enough to ensure our trip was good We felt very safe and secure with him. He even stood at the door of the bus in a busy area to make sure the other cars saw us. Time in the park was sufficient to see the main attractions.

Never thought I'd be able to make it to Yosemite and back within a day with a decent hike to boot. The tour was very well planned and executed. Special mention for Parker, our guide and driver who's an avid hiker himself. Learned a lot about Yosemite, its history and the trails from him. I was craving a decent hike and Parker told us about two trails - one each to the Upper and Lower Yosmite Falls. The weather was perfect in the month of November. With a little over three hours of hiking time in hand, I managed to complete both of 'em :) It was a fun drive to and from Yosemite thanks to Parker keeping us entertained with interesting factoids, podcast recordings and his awesome music collection! The pit stop was ideally positioned for us to stretch our legs and grab a bite. It was a long day (6am-8.30pm) but never a dull moment! Highly recommended for folks looking to squeeze a quick hike into their schedule.

Awesome, beautiful tour! Well worth the cost. The driver, Mitch, was very experienced driving the very winding, hilly roads to Yosemite! Mitch was also very knowledgeable on history of the area and sites to see. It’s a long ride to the park, 4 hours. Stop at a half way point for washroom and to purchase snacks. We purchased sandwiches at the store and had a little picnic when we arrived. Have about three hours to walk the trails and see the waterfalls, plus several mini stops where Mitch stopped to show the beautiful views. And don’t forget to generous tip the driver!

Parker our driver made the whole day fun. Full of knowledge and made the long drive to and from the park a joy. His taste in music too was fantastic. As for the park the views just blow our mind. Due to rain the waterfalls and rivers were just spectacular. We would definitely recommend this trip and the company we used “ Incredible Adventure “. Booking via “aviator.com” was quick and easy.

An excellent trip with tour guide & driver Jeremy. There was around 10 on our comfy minibus; we all got on well making jokes and chat along the way. As a brit, it was nice to see other Europeans (around 60%) on the bus too. We had 3hr 30M free time & made stops along the way. Made a stop at a huge grocery store too there and back. Great place & a great tour, would strongly recommend!

I will definitely remember this trip. The drive was absolutely a lot of fun thanks to Jeremy! Such a playlist he had, wow! Yosemite was mesmerizing. It was a perfect day. Spring time is the best time to see the waterfalls. You won’t a lot of time to do many trails but it is good enough to have the vibe. Thanks!
