A fun intro to Savannah

Enjoyed our tour, led by Josh and Sally. A little history of the city, personal stories, and a nice variety of food stops and samplings. Three hours went by quickly, but the pace of walking and stops was really good.

This was a great tour and Brenden was a great tour guide. He kept it light and fun and was very attentive to the needs of some of our physically challenged group members. The food at all of the stops was delicious and we really appreciated the history information that Brenden added to the experience. I would highly recommend.

A must do while in Savannah

This tour was part of my husband's birthday gift. He is a chef and owns his own catering business. I knew he would enjoy the flavors of the south, but didn't realize how much he would love the history of the foods and places also! Cathy was our tour guide and she was fantastic! She was very personable and knowledgeable!

Ok & all

The tour guide was excellent. A retired social studies teacher so very informative and personable. The substance of the tasting not really substantial. Didn’t think the all of the places on the list put their beat foot forward in their offerings. Left feeling a little lack luster after spending a fortune for our family of five.

Savannah Samples

The tour guide was terrific and did a good job weaving the history before, during, and after the food samples. I suggest a substitute topping for those who are allergic to shell fish or are vegan for the shrimp and grits sample. I recommend this tour.

Mediocre Tour
Christine_H
, Jun 2022
Our tour guide was lovely. However the food was mediocre and not authentic southern cuisine. Cold macaroni and cheese - really? the tour started with Shrimp and grits and ended with a honey tasting which was very nice. I live nearby and enjoy taking house guests to Savannah if they've never been. This tour will not be on my list of recommendations.

Thank you for your feedback. We regret that you had this experience and we are currently working on improving the tastings (the Mac'n'Cheese will not be on the tour here shortly). Additionally, we offer 4 different routes and if you are looking for Southern Cuisine (rather than the unique cuisine of Savannah itself) we would recommend our guests check out our Southern Fried Expectations Food Tour.
