Returns to original departure point
Depart from the designated meeting point in Split or Trogir, and make the scenic journey south along Dalmatia’s rugged coast toward Dubrovnik.

Hear about the region from your guide and stop for photos at several overlooks for amazing panoramic views of the Dalmatian islands.

Continue to Dubrovnik, and take a walking tour of the UNESCO-protected Old Town with a local guide. Encircled by 16th-century walls, this pristine medieval quarter features immaculately preserved townhouses, palaces, churches, and limestone-paved streets.

Enter through the Pile Gate, and see the Franciscan Monastery with its splendid cloister. Visit the monastery’s 14th-century Pharmacy, Europe’s oldest working pharmacy, and stroll down the Stradun, the city’s glorious main street.

At the end, admire the porticos and carvings of the Sponza Palace, and visit the cathedral, a Baroque masterpiece built after Dubrovnik’s 1667 earthquake.

Then, enjoy free time to explore and relax at leisure. Perhaps walk the walls to survey the red rooftops, ride a cable car above the town, go souvenir-shopping, or eat at any of the enticing restaurants.

Finally, reconvene with your vehicle, finishing your trip at the departure point in Split or Trogir.

Poor cancellation rules

My traveling companion came down with a bad cough the night before our excursion and we were concerned about her health and the health of the other travelers on the trip and canceled. After visiting the emergency room at Split we were provided with medicines that greatly improved her cough. I attempted to reschedule with no extra charge and was told there was space available Friday but we would have to purchase new tickets. We found this unacceptable. Chris Evensen Deborah Gerber

Very nice place, great tour guide, but long trip - wish we had an extra couple of hours

The day trip is as advertised and we are very happy we did it. The tour guide was knowledgeable on the area and gave a one hour tour if you wanted to join it once off the van. We left the grup early as we did not think we would have enough time to do everything we wanted to if we stayed with the group. By the time you drive there after crossing the Bosnian border, you really only have about 3 hours to yourself in Dubronik but we made that work. I recommend going immediately up to the top of the wall and walking around it. Then you can choose the other 1-2 items you want to accomplish. We went to Buza beach where you can jump off some of the cliffs they have there and grab a cocktail after the wall walk. We then found a nice place for a good Croatian lunch and strolled around the rest of the old town. We definitely loved the tour and the place but would recommend going for a day or 2 instead of rushing through. If you are limited on time as we were this is a perfect option to get there and see the sites.

Dubrovnik Day Trip From Split

This is a fantastic tour and well worth the 7-8 hours of travelling via mini bus! Igor is a great guide with wonderful knowledge, humour and advice. His knowledge and the lovely weather made the travel pass by effortlessly. There is enough time while in Dubrovnik to tour the walls and have lunch and Igor will guide you to the entrances to the walls. He was well organised regarding the border crossings as well which sped up a possibly frustrating experience. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

I am so happy I did this tour! I was worried it was not going to be enough time in Dubrovnik, but I definitely feel like I was able to learn a lot and see some of the major attractions in an easy way from Split, where I was staying. Igor, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. Funny and informative. Highly recommend!

Do not think any words here will convey what an awesome place / setting Dubrovnik is. So much history and magnificent buildings all in one place. A walk along the city walls is a must. The drive from Split and return is long, but we had breaks and for the sheer sights of Dubrovnik, well worth the drive. Our guide Roko, was wonderful to, knew all the facts and figures and gave us tips on what do do and were to go etc. Driver (sorry cannot remember his name) was brilliant to. And loved the 60's/70's/80's background pop music. Only downside I could imagine is the huge numbers of people at peak vacation time, but early June was perfect.

Thank you so much to our driver Tiho and the guide Igor. They were both fantastic. From welcoming us onto the bus they were both so friendly and created a fun atmosphere. They were both so informative whilst on the bus on the long drive through Bosnia & Herzegovina and when we arrived in Dubrovnik, Igor took us on a walking tour of the old town. He shared lots of information and was easily able to answer any questions from the group. Both of them were excellent throughout the whole day. Definitely a recommended trip!

Fantastic experience

Me and my girlfriend booked this excursion and visited Dubrovnik during our week holiday to split. It was great! The place itself is beautiful and I will never forget it. The way the trip was ran was without fault! Our tour guide Igor was very knowledgeable and was keen to make sure you got everything out of your visit. He made recommendations of where to go and what to see, even advising of the best spots to take pictures. The driver (sorry I forgot his name) was very safe on the roads so I wouldn't worry. Although the coach journey there an back was relatively long, it didn't feel that way. Igor would speak to everyone during the trip and give background information of the history of each location, making it an enjoyable journey! As it says in the information on the excursion, don't forget your passport as you have to go through Bosnia to get to Dubrovnik. Also, make sure you take enough money with you as Dubrovnik itself is quite expensive. It costs 200Kuna each to walk the walls and it was around 300kuna to have a meal. Honestly though, 100% Worth it! Thank you
