After pickup from meeting points in Trogir or Split, set off toward Bosnia and Herzegovina by air-conditioned vehicle.

On route, hear about Bosnia and Herzegovina, including snippets on Mostar, the historical town on the River Neretva that developed on the Ottoman border during medieval times.

Stop for a coffee (own expense) at the walled town of Počitelj, and then arrive in Mostar, dubbed the ‘window on the Orient,’ for its Turkish culture. Take a 1-hour walking tour, delving into the pretty streets and Old Bazaar, and seeing the 17th-century mosque and stunning,16th-century Turkish bridge (Stari Most) arching steeply over the river.

Afterward, enjoy 2.5 hours’ time to yourself, perhaps savoring a Bosnian lunch of cevapi (sausages in bread) or burek (pastry-encased mincemeat).

Alternatively, visit the nearby Kravice Waterfall, a stunning waterfall that gushes into a blue-green, forest-fringed lake. Admire the scenery and enjoy an optional swim before returning to Split or Trogir, where your tour finishes at the starting point.

*Voucher and passport check in Split: 7:05
**If you are meeting us at the meeting point in Trogir, please inform the tour operator in advance.

One of the best tours I've been on

I was spending a few days in Split, Croatia and noticed how close Mostar was, which I'd always wanted to see. I was delighted to find this tour, but it definitely was even better than I expected. Igor and Tiho were great guides. Igor was very knowledgeable and an excellent story teller, and I appreciated that he shared his own family's experience during the upheaval of the 1990s, which made this history more personal and relatable. He was also very funny and together with Tiho made the long waits at the border crossing in each direction better than they otherwise would've been by waiting until those moments to talk more about history and other important topics on this kind of a tour. Tiho was really friendly and made us feel welcome on this journey. Our guide in Mostar - Goran - was also great -- kind, knowledgeable, and good at sharing the story of his city while also keeping it interesting and fun. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Great day trip

We read the reviews online before booking and realised it could be a long day, especially if held at the border crossings. We were very lucky and and the day ran to time. We had plenty of free time in Mostar, where we ate at a recommended restaurant with views of the bridge, wonderful setting and memories. We also tried all the food suggested to us. We chose to go to Medjugorje for our second stop and loved the town....we are not religious, but found it very interesting. Great day trip, highly recommend

Mostar was a beautiful town with amazing sights. Our tour guide (Tony) gave us a crash course on the history and background of the place which really helped us understand it a lot better. Not forgetting our driver Boris who was fantastic and punctual at all times. Highly recommended trip!

We loved every aspect of this tour. Mostar is a beautiful town and rich in history. Our tour guide Igor was fabulous, he made our day extremely educational & fun. He was extremely knowledgeable but also made the information he passed on exciting. We also did the Kravice Waterfalls which was fabulous and a wonderful combination for the full day. Definitely would recommend this tour absolutely wonderful

Crazy long day

We were picked at 7.10 am. The tour voucher mentioned that the tour would be for 11 hours. But the tour ended up being 14 hours long. It was very long and very tiring. Our guide was knowledgeable but she had no idea how to manage time. We were given 3 hours in Mostar which according to us was not required. Instead we could have saved time there to return home on time. We came back to our hotel at 9.30 pm. We had another tour next day which made it really tough. Mostar is an interesting place but Medjugorge is strictly for Catholics.

Amazing places!! Teho and Egor where amazing guides!!! Teho is the coach driver who is very entertaining and a brilliant driver! Egor is the guide who is very knowledgeable and helpful, he also is very entertaining!! Mostar is a stunning place, especially the new old bridge, but is also a sad reminder of the Bosnian conflict where many lost there lives!!! Medjugorje is also a beautiful place, it has The Apparition Hill which is a long climb up, seeing stone stations of the cross- definitely need sturdy footwear and get a taxi to the hill, as it is quite far too walk to!! If you wish to see the Blue cross ask the taxi driver to drop you there as this is further on, and more suitable for people who cannot climb apparition hill!! Both are definitely worth a visit!! Truly amazing 😉👍👍👍👍

Great trip! Both Mostar and Međugorije were fascinating. Tiho and Toni were a fantastic tour leader/bus driver combo. Keep in mind the long waiting time crossing the border into and out of Bosnia. This unfortunately cannot be helped but it did add on extra time to our already long day trip. Would definately recommend!

Could have been better

The highlights of Mostar were very amazing and a great experience. But it could have been covered in a much shorter time--it was pretty obvious that a goal was to get you to shop in the very crowded street bazaar area. Viator needs to do a better job letting people know how treacherous the climb up to the site of the Virgin Mary is--it was more than difficult and walking almost straight up on jagged rocks was dangerous. Unlike other tour groups, our guide did not stay with us. We were dropped off at a spot where we had to take a cab to the bottom of the hill and back again after. Cost--5 euros each way. So while definitely an experience, both spots could have been done better.

Excellent trip with Francesco & Andreja

Very interesting trip to Mostar. Andreja was an excellent guide Lots of information about Bosnia and Herzegovina. We had an excellent Muslim guide in Mostar. We chose to spend our one hour and a half hours at Kravice waterfalls rather than Medjugorje. An excellent place sat and drank local beer and wine beneath the falls.
