Returns to original departure point
Start with your pickup from the meeting point in Split or Trogir, then begin the trip to Plitvice Lakes National Park: your guide shares some background about the park and Croatia along the way, and you have scenic views of the countryside throughout the trip.

Upon arrival in Plitvice Lakes National Park (admission not included), stretch your legs on a hike through the forest, following the guide on a trail to the park’s upper lakes. Hop in a boat at the lakes for the ride to the lower lakes, or Donja Jezera, a picture-perfect cluster surrounded by thick trees.

The national park is the perfect place to see geology in action, as the rivers and streams that flow through the Plitvice Lakes continue to shape the karst formations and rock landscape visible during your tour. Then enjoy some free time for lunch—meals are not included, but the guide can help you find the perfect place to eat.

This tour concludes with a return trip to Trogir or Split.

Please note; the itinerary may be adjusted due to the traffic, flooded trails, or bad weather conditions in the park.
If you are hoping to start at the meeting point in Trogir, please the tour operator know in advance.
Itinerary
Stop At:
Plitvice Lakes National Park
Our comfortable, air-conditioned mini-van or bus will pick you up at the meeting point and head up through the countryside towards – Plitvice Lakes. The unity and harmony of 16 lakes and their rare natural and cultural value is not famous only throughout Croatia, but also worldwide; earning this remarkable national park a coveted place on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage sites. Arriving to Plitvice, we’ll walk through these ancient woodlands led by our experienced guide. The path takes us first across Gornja Jezera (Upper Lakes), a system of 12 lakes separated by travertine barriers. Then it’s time for a peaceful boat ride towards the second area called Donja Jezera (Lower Lakes), placed in a limestone canyon. The barriers, sills and other forms created in these lakes, karst rivers and streams are stil an ongoing process that shapes the wonderful landscapes that make your walk through the park so enjoyable. It’s these same travertine formations that have and are still creating the numerous magnificent waterfalls here. After optional lunch we will drive back to Split along the highway, still excited and full of lasting impressions—make sure your camera has extra batteries!

Great day

This tour was a great way to spend a day at Plitvice. My friend and I considered many angles, such as renting a car or hiring just transportation, for fear the group activity would be hindering, but this turned out enjoyable and much better with the group and guides, as they were relaxing and helpful, and VERY concerned we all had a great, stress free time :) Also, much more cost effective this way than any other option. Of course Plitvice main trails were busy, but it sounds as though that is always an issue regardless of being in a group or not. The restaurant was good as others stated, get the pig on the pit! Expect a long day, bring snacks and drinks, although you can buy water on the bus for five kuna. Tiho and Rocco were awesome, friendly, and made for a stress free time. Thank you both!

Excellent natural attraction and nice hike but bit crowded

Andre our guide gave us full 5 hours at the park but still felt a bit rushed. Beautiful falls, lakes and scenic hike. Crowd made a bit frustrating to enjoy the beauty but I suppose everyone must be feeling the same. Overall an excellent experience.

Really well organized trip

Tour guide, Igor, should have his photo as the illustration for the word "guide" in any dictionary. Really smart, calm and funny. You might think that the restaurant stop is a tourist trap but surprinsingly it s not. Really fair prices for good and enough food - even the croatian police was eating there when we stopped. The tour was exactly as described and we had enough time to enjoy the beauty of Plitivice. It was a little bit crowded but still ok - the park i mean not the trip itself. The bus driver Ante was really nice as well. All in all, a trip to remember.

Our tour guide was great. She made the bus ride interesting and enjoyable. The only down side is that the park was very, very crowded. Too many bus tours arriving at the same time.

Great day out

This was a terrific day out. Plitvice Lakes and National Park is an amazing place and even though it was snowing and raining this did not hamper our enjoyment. Our guide, Andre, was really nice and very informative. It was a small group of 10 people and this was much better than having a large group of people. The restaurant where we stopped for lunch was lovely and the food very good. I would definitely recommend this trip.
