Our excellent guide brought us first to a honey tasting, where other tastes such as flavored olive oils were available too. A nice exposure to many new tastes We continued up Mt Etna to the Silvestri crater at 2800 meters, where we made the hike around the crater. stunning views and explanations of the power of the volcano, including intermediate stops to illustrate specific phenomena. At 70+ we were still able to enjoy the entire experience. Finally an incredible stop at the winery for wine tastings and food sampling. All tastes were exceptional, with superior service and knowledge from the staff

up and around a smoldering etna

All 4 of us enjoyed our Private Tour up and around smoldering Etna. Though we just missed recent lava flow activity, our engaging and experienced Sicilian guide Roberto did an amazing job explaining the geology, geography, history and culture of the region. Interesting and fun. The tour ended at sunset with an incredible meal at the historic local Murgo Vineyard, where local Sicilian specialties were paired with various wine selections. At sunset, no less. A wonderful tour with an great guide followed by a delicious meal. As good as it gets. Highly recommend.

The tour was entertaining, educational & an excellent value. Roberto was prompt & obliging &, growing up in the shadow of Etna, he has a personal appreciation & knowledge of Etna's contributions. We are grateful to him for orchestrating such a wonderful and varied excursion, which was the highpoint of our visit to Taormina, and we would recommend it to anyone that might like to share in a memorable experience.

Excellent tour! Bruno was a wonderful tour guide, knowledgeable, attentive and fun! He taught us all about the volcano and the land and soil created by it’s eruptions. The views were beautiful! We stopped at a honey farm and tasted the local honey, olive oil, capers... We had a delicious lunch and wine tasting, pairing at Gambino Vineyard. It wasn’t just a tasting, the bottles were left at the table for us to enjoy with lunch! We were taught all about the grapes and how they grow in the volcanic soil. There was a little time left at the end of our tour and we expressed an interest in a small town, called Castelmola. Bruno went out of his way to take us for a quick tour of the town! It was a day I’ll always remember. Many thanks to Bruno for making our trip fantastic!

Although the visit to Etna was a bit disappointing due to the weather (extreme wind), the winery visit more than made up for that, plus our guide was great. Raffaele met us at our hotel precisely on time, he was an excellent driver, very knowledgeable regarding the volcano, the geology, etc., friendly, helpful, and polite. The wine-tasting was so much more than the usual in the states--generous (unlimited?) pours with an abundance of delicious food pairings.

Best trip of our whole vacation

From the beginning this was an amazing experience. Bruno picked us up in a Mercedes and taught us all about the land around us as we took our trip to a Honey Farm (bring some extra cash, not required but the things at the honey farm are AMAZING and you'll want to bring some back home with you). Up to Etna we opted for the tour to the top. Bruno held our stuff, took pictures for us and escorted us all around. We truly felt VIP! And the dinner at the vineyard was something out of a romance novel. Bruno also speaks perfect English, which is somewhat of a rarity in Siciliy (people speak English, but not perfect like Bruno). We even had time for a small coffee at the end. We didn't feel rushed at all even though we were starting to run past our allotted time. Thank you Bruno!!

Great afternoon trip to do a tasting of honey, olives, and local wine followed by a visit to Mt Etna then a fabulous lunch and wine tasting at a winery. Bruno was a fantastic guide; his warmth and friendliness were so genuine and made the day a success. The only reason this isn’t rated five stars is because the honey farm visit was more of a visit to just a tasting room where you can see where the honey is made; there was no “tour” of a farm.
