Mount Teide Night Tour: Stargazing, Dinner and Hotel Pick up

The first stop at Bodega Reverón was lovely and the food was nice too for what you pay, they certainly don't hold back on the free wine. Unfortunately our tour guide was awfully boring, he could send a glass eye to sleep! The English tourist on the bus all noticed that he mainly done the tour in Spanish. For Instance he would do a 10min speech in Spanish about the stars and universe etc and you was lucky ro get a 1-2 min explanation of the same in English. At this point the Spanish tourists would be talking over the tour guide so you couldn't really hear him anyway. The tour it self certainly doesn't take you anywhere near the creator of mount tiede. You pull into a car park situated next to the main road. Not the best place for star gazing as you now have a lot of cars driving past and into the car park with their full beam headlights on, just what you need when there should be no light pollution but now you are also blinded from the lights. Other tour operators will walk you into the park a bit so you are away from the traffic noise and lights. The only reason we booked this tour is because it was the only one left with dates we could go on. Do yourselves a favour and pick another tour operator with better reviews. I fell as If we wasted a full evening of our holiday and we all know how precious those nights are.

overall it was a very pleasant trip. we were pick at the location provided on time, very good dinner follow by the bus ride to the top of el Teide. fantastic tour guide with a ton of knowledge about all the stars and planets in the universe.

Wonderful, take lots of warm clothes for when you are off the bus, and confirm your collection time before hand. Also let them know any dietary needs, they are very accommodating.

The 1st trip was cancelled but we was not informed and when I called the office after waiting outside hotel for half hour I was told that I had missed the call, on checking my phone I had no phone calls at all. When we did get to go we went around the houses for ages collecting people from all over. The dinner at the Bodega was ok and then we went up the mountain to stop in a lay by to see the stars with no telescope. Thankfully we was one of the first to get dropped off.

guide was knowledgeable. meal was very nice. only issue was it was very cold at viewing site. driver was generally careful and we were comfortable on coach. well worth it for the knowledge you gain from the guide

Star talk was good but could have had a telescope as well and maybe a colour map showing the constellations.

Me pareció una excursión muy bonita, una visión del Teide que no conocía. Un cielo que sin duda merece la pena ver. La cena en la bodega estuvo rica. El único pero que le pongo es al trayecto de recogida de los pasajeros, desde que nos recogieron a nosotros hasta que recogieron al último pasamos 1:30h en el autobús y se hizo largo. La explicación astrológica y organización de 10, por poner un pero la cena en las bodegas me esperaba mucho más. La cena estaba rica pero nada autóctono, además de que no te explican nada sobre sus vinos. Así poco van a vender luego la verdad...
