A delightful (and tasty) tour, recommended!
, Jan 2020
We loved this tour it was full of interesting places and information. Christian our guide was just a perfect host. What is so good is that these tours are driven by a real love of the things in Malta that are unique and possibly undervalued or underestimated by the modest Maltese people who have so much to offer. All are truly artisan small producers. For example the best honey and olive oil that I tasted and then I bought in sight of the trees the olives where grown on. A wonderful farmer making his cheese from the sheep we were able to go and see so well cared for. The baker producing the legendary bread I adore and a delightful Maltese master of Pastissi producing these delicacies on Malta for decades. A truly wonderful tour rounded off by a visit to a fantastic winery with the owner a colourful man truly dedicated to the natural product and the environment. Mar Casar is growing grapes in a beautiful high vineyard, he produced samples of delicious wine, bread and olives for us and we bought a bottle hoe to encourage our friends to buy from him. Do I recommend this tour most certainly YES!

It was the best tour we made in Malta. We had great food, great company, and Chris was awesome. Would recommend!!
Never enough stars to rate this wonderful day.

This must surely be the best day’s outing in Malta. Emails direct from company; personal contact with leader; collected on time; knowledgeable and informative guide and producers; tastings of so many differing items from true artisan farmers wanting to protect our world; ending with an unforgettable visit to Bella’s ‘heavenly’ spot surrounded by herbs, olives and pomegranates! Felt I had seen a glimpse of the garden of Eden. What more could anyone want. THANK YOU Christian, Janet and of course Chiara. Thank you so much for your care and understanding, we will surely come next visit if you don’t mind coping with the blind and lame once again.

Chris, Judy, thanks for your kind and encouraging words... but it was really our privilege to host you all! Keep in touch.
Wonderful way of tasting local produce

The tour included lunch on a farm in central Malta as well as visits to a bakery, sheep cheese making farm, and a winery We also visited the home of a retired pastry chef/baker and made pastizzi - lovely people and great fun. Christian, guide and owner, was passionate and knowledgeable and keen to preserve the small farms and businesses in Malta The group was only 7 and was a great way to get out into the countryside away from the usual tourist areas.
On an island so geared towards tourism, this tour is a taste of the authentic.

You meet Maltese people, who have worked in farming, baking and wine/olive oil production for decades. You eat well, and get to taste local produce and recipes. Along the way the guide teaches you about the history of island, and culture of its people, but the tour is very much focussed on the budding agriculture, and Maltese food/wine. It's a nice change from the more historical based tours that most are used to.

We had a fantastic tour with Chris and his team, we never expected to be visiting the Master of Pastizzi in his home with his wife teaching us the secrets and giving us the hands on lesson, we then took our pastizzi to a traditional bakery for them to be cooked, I won't say any more as it will spoil the story behind the day but if you are thinking of doing a tour in Malta this is the one to do. They are all highly passionate about the products and life in Malta and also helping the traditional artisans. Please don't eat breakfast before you go on this tour :-)
