Nature and history abound at the 27-acre Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, just minutes from the bustle of downtown Vancouver. Set within the unique environment of British Columbia’s cedar-scented rainforest, the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure, and brand new Cliffwalk allow you to delve into nature’s beauty while kicking up the adrenaline.

Originally built in 1889, the 450 foot long Capilano Suspension Bridge soars 230 feet above the Capilano River and is your gateway to the forest beyond. Take your time crossing this magnificent structure while enjoying the spectacular view of the canyon and river below.

Upon reaching the other side, discover the Treetops Adventure, a series of interconnected suspension bridges that travel high above the forest floor through the lush evergreen foliage of towering Douglas firs. Viewing platforms nestled into the tree canopy give you a squirrel’s eye view of a thriving coastal forest.

But for a real thrill, the awe-inspiring Cliffwalk is not to be missed. This amazing walkway juts out from the granite cliff of Capilano Canyon and takes guests to areas of the park that were previously unexplored. High and narrow, Cliffwalk is not for the feint of heart. A series of cantilevered, suspended walkways hug the face of the cliff.

Beyond these main activities, there are plenty of ways to explore the rich history and unique ecosystem of the park. Interactive displays and informative panels offer insight into the forest’s ecology with fun facts and identification clues. Guided history tours are offered hourly and are a great way to learn about the park’s colorful past. A stroll through majestic evergreens and past tranquil ponds with one of the park’s naturalists is a fantastic way to learn about the flora and fauna of the old-growth rain forest and discovery the mysteries of this unique Vancouver environment.

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
The Capilano Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure ® and Cliffwalk ® are sure to make you feel closer to the stunning temperate rainforest of British Columbia. Just minutes from downtown Vancouver, you'll be able to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and learn about this unique environment, while also getting a real kick of adrenaline. The Capilano Suspension Bridge was originally built in 1889 and its 446 feet (136 meters) spans the Capilano River. A walk across this bridge is a truly unique experience. Visitors venture from one magnificent Douglas fir tree to another, on a series of elevated suspension bridges, some reaching as high as 110 feet (34 meters) above the forest floor. In addition to the three main activities, you can join a guided nature or history walk offered hourly throughout the day or explore the park at your own leisure. The Living Forest area provides interactive signage, and fun facts. You'll be well informed for your stroll through the West Coast rainforest, past tranquil trout ponds and majestic evergreens. Join a friendly eco guide for a complimentary 20 to 30 minute tour of Capilano Suspension Bridge's West Coast rainforest and discover the mysteries of an old growth forest and its life cycle; learn about the flora and fauna found in our ecosystem; and identify various trees and plant life unique to Vancouver, Canada.

A day with nature.

Buying tickets ahead you don’t wait in line to purchase. Although no likes when we arrived at 11:30. Purchased tickets ahead for 10:30..we were flagged for random Covid testing when we arrived to Canada..so we were late to arrive at the park. Time on tickets did not make a difference apparently. We walked in. Beautiful park. This is Not a guided tour. On your own at the park. Worth the visit.

The nature at this park was awesome! We are a family of three with a ten year old daughter and we all thoroughly enjoyed this park and the memories we made! Great way to spend a day or 1/2 of a day in Vancouver!

This was a great trip, however the reason for the 3 stars was that it is not that big and we were there about 2 hours so quite expensive. But a fabulous place and the bridge is amazing... and wobbly!!

Buy from Capilano Suspension Bridge

The tickets through Viator were MORE expensive it turns out than they were directly from Capilano Suspension Bridge. Additionally, if you are a BC resident, Capilano Suspension Bridge will not honour a yearly pass for tickets bought through Viator. Buy directly from Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Capilano Bridge Park is so much fun!

Our group of seven family members totally enjoyed the Capilano Bridge park ! I gave the experience less than 5 stars, though, because we had a problem catching the shuttle bus. I had been told that it picked up every 20 minutes, but after waiting almost an hour, I called the park and was told that the bus was filling up at earlier stops, and that this information had been explained in their literature (it wasn't, I had even called the week before to clarify where to catch the shuttle). So, plan to catch the shuttle at Canada Place on busy days or you will be left waiting........

The park is mainly the suspension bridge but once across it there are trees top walks. It's in North Vancouver but there is a free bus that goes from various locations in Vancouver. It wobbles a lot, be warned! Nice gift shop and cafes at the start and end.
