Perfect activity for mother n daughter trip

This was an awesome experience. Hearing the chef’s or owner‘S stories really added to the tasting. The history tidbits were just right: very interesting and just long enough to keep us all interested. The time just flew by.

I enjoyed the tour. Andy was amazing and he offered a variety of food and drinks. We started with fish tacos and the sauce was perfect. The meals were all amazing plus it was a small group. I also like the fact that i could join this as a solo traveler. The highlight was definitely the beer and chocolate at the end.

Andy was a great tour...

Andy was a great tour guide. He enthusiastically shared his knowledge and love for the history and food of the city. The sampling stops he selected were first class and the sample sizes sufficient to get a real taste without feeling bloated by the end of the tour.

Victoria Food/History Tour

Andy was a great tour leader. Added lots of small bits of history to the area that never would have picked up on just walking around. Food tasting portions were more than adequate. Went to places, I never would have stopped. GR8 value for the money.

A Victoria Must-See ...

Andy was energetic, delightful, entertaining, full of interesting anecdotes on local history (complete with antique photos) and very patient ... we were late to the meeting point, but managed to unite with the tour in progress at the 2nd or 3rd destination ... each of the remaining destinations were unique and truly enjoyable ... each a stop worth more of a visit at a later time ...

Our tour with Andy made us fall in love with Victoria! He was great! Very knowledgeable and accommodating to any dietary restrictions. Perfect sized group of 12 and we really felt like we experienced Victoria in a way we wouldn’t have discovered on our own or using a travel guide book. I would recommend booking directly through Victoria Guided Food. Andy will look after you and you’ll not be disappointed!

I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this tour. Andy was wonderful! I loved the way he focused on local eateries and had the owners speak to us about their businesses and the food. We had a great assortment of food items as we walked throughout the city and heard about its history. I liked the way he could adapt the tour to accommodate people with different dietary needs - for instance, vegetarian on my tour. We got to sample arancini with beautiful tomato sauce and a fritter with an Argentinian salsa from La Pizza & La Pasta, matcha lemonade from Just Matcha Tea Shop, Southern Biscuits (sweet and savory) with a taste of grits from Shanzee's Biscuit Cafe, Pierogi's from the Sult Pierogi Bar, Chocolate from the Roger's Chocolate Shop. The icing on the cake was a coupon to sample a beer or hard cider at the Churchill after the tour. What is so exciting is this is only a sample of the 17 (I think that is what Andy said) local eateries that Andy builds the tours around. He can design tours around people's interests, etc., and that the morning and afternoon tours can be totally different. I can't wait to come back to Victoria to do another tour!

Hello, Thank you for the excellent rating and thorough review. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the diverse variety of tastings on the tour. As you mentioned, I work with a variety of local vendors to put a tour together on any given day and they are all passionate local businesses. I look forward to crossing paths in the future on another visit to Victoria! All the best, Andy
