Nice concert with professional musicians, dancers and singers
, Mar 2020
We were two couples who enjoyed very much this Wiener concert with music by Strauss and Mozart. The musicans, opera singers and dancers were all very professional. We are all very satisfied. We did not have dinner before the concert, but we got a glass of Sparkling wine. The only negative was the line in order to get the drink.
Good concert

was not a full orchestra -- was 8:30pm which seemed awfully late -- was a really good performance -- pretty setting-- next time i would pick a performance in a more central location with a more full orchestra
Great musicians shame about the dancing

Lovely setting in the Orangerie of the Palace. The musicians were excellent but the concert spoiled by the singers and dancers which were an odd addition. It was expensive for an hour concert. 25 minute intermission was not long enough for everyone to get a drink as a pop up bar with only two staff
Very good program!

A very good presentation of the dancers, singers and orchestra. We love the way that orchestra's director interacted with public.
A must see in Vienna!

It was a terrible venue. The whole show looked and felt temporary...and it was. The stage looked like a portable platform on wheels covered with a skirt. The audience seats were steel-framed cheap-restaurant types set up in rows all on the same level so you had to duck and dodge around the heads in front of you. No air conditioning (it is Germany, after all) and it was stifling hot with all those people in the room. They had a couple of undersized and inadequate fans set up...they did nothing but blow the guy's next to me body odor in my direction. The acoustics were terrible in here. I don't care that the monarch used this room for concerts...he must have had a tin ear. There were opera singers and the room gobbled up most of their talent. I felt bad for them. The 16 piece orchestra was OK...a few mistakes, but it was live, after all. The bad acoustics, the stifling heat, the smells, the uncomfortable chairs all made for an unfortunate evening. The "wonderful" light show that some people mention was nothing more than out-of-focus projections of star flare which I found to be hokey and unprofessional. I paid $85 per seat times 5 ( a whopping $425). I was not happy. My wife, her friend, and I left at the intermission and the 2 kids stayed to the end. I was cheated by this tourist trap scheme. It was a waste of my money, time, and effort (smart casual dress must be kidding). So, we had on our long pants and dress shirts and coats and melted in this terrible place. Some people wore shorts, t-shirts, and sandals...they were the smart ones!! I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. A refund would be most appropriate.
Just good!

Beautiful venue! The Strauss selection was good. Not the same quality as performances by world renown orchestras. A good experience overall!
