Make your way to a central location in Capitol Hill to meet a guide and small group for a 2-hour intro to the heart of America's capital city.

You’ll pass key DC landmarks on an engaging route, but the guide will also offer a chance to jump into the debate about American history and politics (bring your opinions, and come ready for an easy-going, friendly discussion).

Take in the US Capitol Building, the Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress, then head up one of the most historic streets in the city. You’ll also visit Eastern Market, the Old Navy Hospital, and the Marine Barracks, the oldest post of the United States Marine Corps. See where Washington, DC movers and shakers get together outside the office, and learn about the changes that the neighborhood and city have undergone through the years.

Finish the tour in Barrack’s Row, the city’s oldest commercial district, where you’ll duck into a local pub or cafe to keep the conversation going.

Both Steve B and his able assistant Sam made this tour a memorable one. Lively political debate with all questions answered frankly and an excellent insight into both the buildings on Capitol Hill and the state of American political dialogue to-day. For a first time visitor to the Capital keen to learnt more about American politics and understand more about the history of the buildings this is highly recommended , shame it did not last longer! Thank you Steve B and Sam.

Our guide, Ana, really gave a local's perspective in a town not know for its locals. It was easy to forget the neighborhoods were like like any other city, expect when you turn around, there was the Capitol building
