Had a great time seeing the monuments at night. Only giving three stars because during the tour , the National Museum of African American History was noted as popular , the year it was built , and the history of its unique shape was given. However ,we drove past the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and it was noted as not for the faint of heart, which was an interesting contrast in the way the museums were described considering the suffering and discrimination of African American people starting with slavery . People were literally torn from their homes , separated from their families , chained, whipped , placed in deplorable conditions on the way to to America (many died on the way as a result of those conditions) were poked ,prodded , placed on display like cattle , and treated like second class citizens. Let’s not forget the many that died due to undernourishment and thousands more that died due to lynchings. I would say that the National Museum of African American History is also not for the faint of heart as that is an atrocious way to treat a human being .

Two thumbs DOWN

Didn’t have any photo opportunities at the White House, tour guide doesn’t get off and go with you to the sites. Overall the experience was underwhelming. Even the family who accompanied us asked if the Whitehouse was accesible? Really!?!? How can you do a guided tour in DC and not take us to get a close up picture at White House? Don’t hold a night tour and take your people to places that you can NOT see in the dark. Then blame it on a 13 billion dollar Maintenance deficit the city has…
