Private Tour: Yosemite Hike with Naturalist Guide

Although we had a nice guide , we did not get the botanist advertised , and the botanist we did get was not of international renown as advertised. We needed to be able to go to over 8000 ft in altitude to see the flowers at this time of year, which is when you can get altitude sickness, so one of our group was not fit enough to do this . The blurb states it is a private tour that can be tailored to your fitness level. I think we saw a total of four types of shrubs in the total five hours. I cannot find anywhere in the information that we were forewarned that there would be really not be flowers to be seen on the valley floor at this time of year . It was a very expensive tour compared to similar offered and for anymore than 2 people you would definitely be much better to go with the local guide company.. The guide did as good a job as could be expected,as did the lady organising it, but I would not recommend this tour company to anyone and would not book another tour with your company without cross checking everything well in advance.
