Great experience

The tour covered everything described above. Spiros lead our tour and he was funny, informative, friendly and casual. Although this was a shared boat and shared trip, he did consider the group needs and made extra stops and give us more time on different spots. Definitely recommend this tour, great value for the money.

Fun, laughter but prepare to be disappointed

Leonidas our tour guide was amazing. From pick up to drop off he was full of energy, funny, entertaining and provided great music and sing alongs. Unfortunately, our tour started 3.5 hours late due to Covid and police issues in one of the destinations, however after pick up things kicked off with lots of fun! We went to a few look out points which were fab for photos, but would’ve been nice to know a little more history or be told where we were going as we drove along. Next we went to a lookout point overlooking the West of the island and a natural amphitheater. Beautiful views and interesting facts about the olives, but this stop was far too long and people looked visibly bored. After a beautiful drive and pit stop to the top of Xigia Beach (15 mins for photos of the INCREDIBLE view and to buy your own snacks) we boarded the boats for Shipwreck (Nagavio) Beach. Everyone on the tour got very excited which was lovely to see. It was a bucketlist destination of mine And I was buzzing with anticipation. However, the clouds came and the waves got choppy so we were only able to get close and take pictures from the boat. I was truly heart broken as I had looked forward to visiting for YEARS! Ugh. I understand weather gets in the way, but would’ve been nice if they suggested another short tour or quick boat service (even if we had to pay) that could take us there another day, but nothing was said. After that we went to some caves for a nice swim but that was very short, maybe 20-30 mins. We swam in one cave, and jumped off a high rock once and it was time to swim back in. After that we transferred to a glass bottom boat. However, we weren’t told it was glass bottom and we missed even looking down as people were in the way. We went to the blue caves but weren’t able to swim there, it was literally looking at them for ten mins and we were off again. It was pretty disappointing to be honest. The most annoying part was the tour guides seemed to favour one Instagram model girl and let her lay across the front of the boat by herself and none of the rest of the 30 or so people on the tour were allowed there to take pictures of the scenery and caves (that we all paid €60 pp for!). Furthermore, as she laid herself across the front of the boat all our pictures have her in them. As gorgeous as she was, that’s not what I paid the money for and it made the a Japanese family with small kids with us really uncomfortable. It wasn’t her fault at all but the tour operators either should’ve let everyone up there or no one at all. It was odd. After that we went to get dinner, it was nice, but again, awkward. It wasn’t a cheap restaurant. Although we had the budget for it and had a beautiful meal with spectacular views and service, many of the younger travellers with us couldn’t afford it and were embarrassed by the prices so they just say drinking Cola and sharing a starter. We were there for 2 hours which was simply too long. If you pay for a 8 hour tour - you want an 8 hour tour. Not 6 and missing the most important part - actually going to Shipwreck beach! The things that made up for the many disappointments were the fabulous staff. Leonidas kept us laughing the entire trip and was good fun and energy to have around. He treated everyone so well and made us all laugh with his stories, dancing and “magic tricks”. Towards the end of the tour it was obvious we were racing against time due to starting so late in the day. We got to Laganas but didn’t have time to visit Cameo Island as we had to be back on the shuttle. A lot of things were just “jump out, take a picture”. I think if they changed the name to “the Instagram photo tour” it would make a lot more sense and would sell well. But as a television presenter and travel vlogger I wanted more substance, memories and stories. I wanted to “feel” the experiences, not just quickly see them. For the disappointments I would leave 2 stars, but due to the exceptional customer service and laughter all day long I am leaving 4 stars.

Not great

The tour was not the tour I booked. There were stops on the itenary that was not on my tour intenary and places on myne that we didnt see but I was told it's the same tour. We were suppose to leave at 8:00am but was sent a message late the previous evening that the tour will only start at 12. The bus was okay but aircon wasn't working great. Driver didnt wear a proper mask. We were suppose to stop to swim at a certain beach and then they said we couldnt because we will miss the boat to shipwreck beach. The beach was really nice and the tour guide tried to make jokes and make up for it but I was not happy how unorganized everything was. I would double check the start of the tour what the itenary is. As €60 is a lot of you don't see things you booked for.

Tour is highly recommended to everyone. We were picked up from hotel at around 8.15 by very funny and nice hosts Spiros and Leo. You get to visit all touristic places during this tour. Lunch stop was after Navagio beach visit, being vegetarians we really didn't have any option to eat. Spiros tried make some customised vegetarian dishes our us. It was okay and good. We came back to zakynthos town around 5.30PM.

More than I'd bargained For

I wasn't 100% sure what we'd signed up to, Shipwreck viewpoint and boat trip aside (inc. blue caves), but was pleasantly surprised to get a few other stop offs on the day. It seemed to me to be a pleasant time of year to go - not too busy but still warm enough to enjoy a leisurely hour or so on the beach and dip or two in the beautifully cooling sea waters. Our guide Spiros was friendly, informative, and helpful - including regularly checking that my oft car sick wife was okay. The day was paced very nicely as well. A little more information on timings would have been good but then I should have read up more before leaving so... All round, a thoroughly decent day out.
